As you can tell, I'm passionate and fascinated by varying fields of interest, continuously expanding my knowledge and education on multiple levels. In 1997 I had a clear message/calling to go back to school as my career in medical research, while financially gratifying, was not feeding my soul. I enrolled in massage school and have never looked back, it was exactly where I was meant to be, it has more than fed my soul and placed me onto an incredible life path.
Upon massage school graduation and NYS certification I opened Great Lakes Therapeutic Massage some 25+ years ago and it has been nothing but joy! A lot of hard work, but I do love what I do! This is what I was born to accomplish in this lifetime. After having spent 5 years building a successful massage practice I disengaged from my university position in 2004, trusted the universe, spread my wings, closed my eyes, leapt off the cliff and soared in this often crazily chaotic ride known as self-employment. As I (gracefully?) age my dualistic linear and creative brain hunger for more and more knowledge on this experience we call "life"; I continue to learn and evolve and absorb as much as possible, and everything, "good" and "bad", elevates me into a better understanding of myself and the human-condition. I enjoy utilizing any newly learned concepts or tools-of-thought and weaving those into my background in biology, physiology and the energetic self to facilitate a deeper and more profound treatment experience, (or psychic mediumship reading!), for my clientele.
When not immersed in learning, I'm a passionate Mom, a creative and daring cook and baker, a writer, nature and home-improvement enthusiast, (note I used "enthusiast" and not "accomplished" lol....), and I enjoy learning about other culture's spiritual and life customs. I love meeting new, eclectic, talented and like-minded people and learning their stories, (because everyone has a story!), attending events and festivals and living life vibrantly.
And when it's time for peace, quiet and grounding I connect with my ever-present pack awaiting me at home: my loveable, exasperating and always entertaining dogs and cats. I am very conscious of how blessed I have been and continue to be in my every-crazy and evolving life.
